Beyond Biglaw: Money Management for Lawyers.

Some lawyers are led to believe that the only financial decision they’ll ever need to make is whether or not they go into Biglaw. And if you decide to take that path then you’ll be set for life. But that’s not really how it works.

The money doesn’t always take care of itself.

And if you choose a path other than Biglaw, then it can be even harder to figure out how to financially prepare for all the things you want out of life.

So to shine a light on all the money stuff I wish I had known before embarking on my legal career, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my monthly podcast…

Beyond Biglaw: Money Management for Lawyers.

One of the greatest compliments I receive from others is that my engaging energy makes it easy, even fun, to talk about the hard stuff like money.

So to capture that energy I knew I wanted to share my thoughts and practical strategies through one of my favorite mediums -- podcasting.

There will undoubtedly be stories about life in Biglaw, cuz that was my path, but this is also meant for all the lawyers who chose a different career and want to learn how to manage the financial piece no matter the circumstances.

Each episode will be around 20-30 minutes, the perfect amount of time to enjoy your morning beverage and walk away thinking differently about money.

As someone who took the Biglaw path, and still struggled in the money department, I know firsthand that your choice of career is not the singular answer to financial issues.

There are emotional issues at play, competing priorities, and sometimes even competing values.

And now, as an Accredited Financial Counselor who helps all kinds of lawyers with their financial situations, I’m happy to bring real life practical strategies and advice to my fellow lawyers.

I look forward to sharing my musings with you in my own voice, and since this podcast is on YouTube you’ll get my animated facial expressions, too.

I’m sure you’ll quickly see why I wanted to go into musical theater!

So welcome everyone to your own corner of the personal finance universe…where there are no stupid questions, no judgment, no shame…just better financial decisions and happier lawyers.

Special thanks to The Legal Podcast Network for producing Beyond Biglaw and holding my hand through it all. It's one thing to be the podcast guest, it's another to run the show!

And if you know me, then you know my facial expressions are part of my being, so we made sure you can get the full experience on YouTube :)

I’m excited to wrap up Financial Literacy Month in style! Click the HERE to subscribe so you can join me on this journey.
